11:00 AM: Orientation and nonviolence training

Most people will sleep here, or as guests of NDE friends.

SUNDAY
March 29

8:30 AM: Blessing and invocation outside the National Atomic Testing Museum

9:00 AM: Step-Off

City Walk. Lunch at the Las Vegas Catholic Worker, 500 W. Van Buren Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada 89106, supper at NDE, 1420 W. Bartlett Ave.

Most people will sleep at NDE or as guests of NDE friends.

MONDAY
March 30

7:15 AM: Depart NDE in vehicles

8:00 AM: Walkers step off
(Starting point: Hwy 157, Mile Post 92) to Lee Canyon Road (Hwy 156, Mile Post 106) (almost 14 miles)

Most people will camp out at Hwy 156 junction (at least 100 feet from US 95). A few people may return to NDE or other housing in Las Vegas.
TUESDAY
March 31

Pre-dawn to sun up: Sunrise Ceremony

5:30 AM: Small group to NNSA

8:30 AM: Depart from Lee Canyon Road (Hwy 156, Mile Post 106) to Creech Air Force Base in Indian Springs (14 miles)

3:30-5:00 PM: Vigil at Creech AFB

6:00 PM:Dinner at Goddess Temple

Tuesday and Thursday mornings a small group will shuttle to the gate of the Nevada National Security Site to greet workers at their morning shift and join the walkers at 8:30.

Once we reach Creech AFB, most walkers shuttle in vehicles to the Goddess Temple and walk the stretch between Indian Springs and Cactus Springs on Wednesday.

Most will camp out at the Temple of Goddess Spirituality in Cactus Springs, some beds will be available.

WEDNESDAY
April 1

Pre-dawn to sun up: Sunrise Ceremony

6:30 - 8:00 AM: Vigil at Creech Air Force Base, Indian Springs, Nevada

3:30 - 5:00 PM: Vigil at Creech AFB

Wednesday is a day of rest and reflection at the Goddess Temple punctuated by peace vigils at Creech Air Force Base in the morning and at the Nevada National Security Site in the afternoon.
THURSDAY
April 2

Pre-dawn to sun up: Sunrise Ceremony

5:30 AM: Small group to NNSA

8:30 AM: Depart from Cactus Springs to Peace Camp (15.5 miles, on southwest side of US 95 at the Mercury exit; across from Mercury just North of NYE County Mile Post 5)

4:30 PM (Approx.): Arrival at Peace Camp across from the Mercury Exit

Most people will set up tents and camp at Peace Camp, across the highway from Mercury. Some people will shuttle back to the Goddess Temple for the night and drive out early for Sunrise ceremony in the morning.

For events at gate to NNSS: Exit US-95 at Mercury (about 5 miles into Nye County from Clark Co.), make a U-turn before you cross the line at the entrance of the Nevada National Security Site, drive back towards the freeway, and pull out before reaching the freeway, down, off the road. Additional parking is available if you continue under the freeway after you've made the U-turn. There is a large gravel, parking area.

FRIDAY
April 3

Pre-dawn to sun up: Sunrise Ceremony

Noon: "No More War Victims" Stations of the Cross Re-enactment outside Mercury entrance to the Nevada Test Site (NNSS) followed by procession to main gate and line-crossing

Most people will journey home. Others will spend the night in Las Vegas at NDE or in other accommodations. For everyone still in southern Nevada, there will be an informal dinner at NDE.

WAYS TO PREPARE FOR FUTURE PILGRIMAGES

Tell your friends/family/facebook "friends" you are coming
Contact your local media; let them know you are doing this!
Pack/bring a sleeping bag & tent to sleep in
Pack/bring raingear
Make sure you walk at least 3 miles per day NOW if you wish to walk >3/day in Nevada
Pack/bring a water bottle to carry while you walk, and any medications/dietary supplements you need

WHAT TO BRING:
Be prepared for a variety of temperatures and weather conditions. It usually rains at some point during such pilgrimages (but only for less than a day in this Great Basin Desert).

first aid including "moleskin" for walking blisters
hat(s): brims-good against sun / straps-good against wind / stocking caps-good against cold
trail mix and other snacks you'll need and that you'd like to share (though we'll have some too)
cup, utensils, plate (some plasticware is available, if you have issues eating hot food in plastic, bring your own bowl & mug)
